We are located in a small hamlet in West Cornwall only 1 mile from the rugged north Cornwall coast. The nearest town is Camborne, 2 miles away famous for its industrial past and home of Richard Trevithick, builder of the first full-scale working railway steam locomotive. Nearby is Hayle with its three miles of golden sands providing beautiful views across St Ives Bay to the town of St Ives. Hayle is also the home of Cornwall's top wildlife sanctuary, Paradise Park. Gwithian beach to the east of St Ives Bay is great for surfing and its views of Godrevy Island with its lighthouse, the inspiration for Virginia Woolf's To the Lighthouse. The area provides a particulary stunning section of the South West Coastal Footpath. |
